Adult Residential
Adult Residential Therapeutic Community (TC) and Adult Short term Residential (STR).
The adult TC is approximately a four month program in a residential setting for males and females, from 18 years of age, whose lives have become unmanageable due to addiction and/or abuse of drugs and alcohol. Referrals for the TC are made through a variety of sources, including self-referral, family members, hospitals, clergy, law enforcement, physicians, etc.
The Short Term Residential program is approximately a 30 day program for adult males and females with co-occurring severe mental illness and substance dependence disorders. Referrals are accepted through Region 6 Clinical Review Team (CRT).
NOVA also provides Short Term Residential services to adult males and females with referral through the Criminal Justice program directed by the Nebraska Probation Management Information System and a 30 to 60 day program with referrals from Federal Pretrial Services. The length of stay is 30 to 60 days based on individual needs and careful reassessment throughout the treatment process. Referrals provided only through Nebraska State Probation or Parole.
Treatment programs in all of the adult residential programs follow the Therapeutic Community model and are supported by licensed or provisionally licensed mental health professionals (LMHP/PLMHP) or licensed or provisionally licensed alcohol and drug counselors (LADC/PLADC).
