Mission
NOVA Treatment Community is passionate about providing treatment services, education programs and foster care services for children, adolescents, adults and families. We are committed to helping empower individuals and families to experience a life without substance use, family turmoil and other problems that adversely affect their lives.
Vision
We are dedicated to our tradition of providing individuals and families with the tools and support to succeed and providing family-based sanctuary, safety, comfort and protection for children and adolescents in need.
Values
We value providing an environment where people are treated with dignity and respect and receive strength-based, culturally competent services while experiencing new options, values and achievements.
NOVA Treatment Community's Board of Directors is a reflection of communities across the state of Nebraska. Board members come from all walks of life: business and banking, community organizations, and, for some board members, a personal, family connection to NOVA's programs and services. NOVA thanks each board member for their leadership, commitment and expertise to the organization.

NOVA Treatment Community is funded in part with Federal, State and Local funds. Primary funding is through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health Division, Medicaid and Children and Family Services.
As a drug and alcohol treatment provider, NOVA is required to follow two sets of federal confidentiality laws that protect program member privacy. The federal law governing Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patient Records (42 C.F.R. Part 2) protects information regarding program members of treatment programs, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 164 protect the privacy of health information. NOVA is committed to protecting the confidentiality and privacy of its program members.
NOVA has a process for program members and employees to make a complaint if they believe that their confidentiality or privacy rights set forth in 42 CFR Part 2 and/or HIPAA have been violated. Complaints of violations of 42 CFR Part 2 or HIPAA may be made to NOVA by contacting a Privacy Officer at: 402-455-8303 X 110 or X 151 or 3483 Larimore Avenue, Omaha, NE 68111. All complaints will be investigated by the Privacy Officers.
In addition individuals have the right to make a complaint of 42 CFR Part 2 violations to the United States Attorney for the judicial district in which the violation occurs. In addition, a complaint may be made to the agency in the state which the violation occurs that regulates alcohol and drug programs. HIPAA violations may be filed with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Civil Rights. The complaint must be filed within 180 days of the violation. Employees, program members and persons acting on their behalf will not be retaliated against for filing a complaint.
