Foster Care and In-Home Services

Foster Care

"Making a difference one child at a time", NOVA Foster Care provides children and families with the external resources and support to ensure a positive and healthy fostering experience. NOVA foster parents consist of both married and single individuals committed to helping children and adolescents.  The foster parent program is designed to stabilize the lives of children and adolescents. Foster parents confront the unique issues of children and adolescents, which often include behavior problems, low self-esteem, poor social skills, anger control and/or mental illness.  Foster Care involves the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of children and adolescents. At the heart of the program is the commitment made by each foster family to help the children and adolescents take responsibility for their lives and their future.

NOVA provides Foster Care in the Omaha and Lincoln service areas.

Be a Foster Parent

NOVA is currently recruiting foster parents.  NOVA foster parents are provided initial and ongoing training to assist in providing care for their foster children.  They are assigned a NOVA Foster Care Specialist who provides support through home visits and case management services.  Foster Care Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for support.  NOVA foster parents are also provided a monthly stipend and respite care.  If you, or someone you know, would like to provide a safe, nurturing home for children and adolescents, contact NOVA Foster Care at (402) 344-2583 ext. 113.
